Meet the Doctor *

Dr. Tanner Godfrey and his family - Cache Valley Natives

Dr. Tanner Godfrey, a Cache Valley native, graduated from Mountain Crest High School. He began his academic journey at Utah State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Godfrey and his family moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). There, he completed a rigorous dual-degree program, earning both his dental degree and (DMD) and a PhD in biochemistry, followed by specialized residency training in orthodontics.

Professionally, Dr. Godfrey is dedicated to staying at the forefront of his field. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Tweed Foundation, where he also serves as an instructor for the distinguished Tweed orthodontic study course in Arizona. As a passionate researcher, he has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on bone and tooth development, cleft lip and palate treatments, and the integration of AI technology in orthodontics.

When he isn't in the clinic or teaching, Dr. Godfrey loves spending time outdoors with his wife, Nicole, and their four children: Kate, Morgan, Porter, and Jack. They enjoy hiking, biking, camping, and gardening!
